AI for construction: the quote can leave faster, and every document leave its trace.
In construction, AI can assist quotes and measurements, follow up on quotes left without a reply, structure site reports, and reconcile orders, delivery notes and supplier invoices.
Every prepared action goes through human approval: the machine prepares, the tradesperson or site manager decides.
These use cases are possibilities, not promises: the scope that applies to you is set at the diagnostic, on your real volumes.

The quote
A quote can be prepared from the request and your usual prices: to review and adjust rather than build line by line in the evening.
Dormant quotes
Quotes sent without a reply can be followed up on schedule, with a message ready to go: the follow-up leaves because it is ready.
Supplier invoices
Merchants and materials: each invoice can be reconciled against the purchase order and the delivery note, discrepancy flagged.
Site reports
Visit notes and photos can become a structured site report, shared after the site manager's approval.
Tenders
A tender pack can be broken down: required documents, criteria, deadlines, and a technical-proposal outline prepared.
Scheduling
Teams and phases can be scheduled from real workloads, arbitrated by the site manager.
Measurements
Measurements and estimates can be assisted: quantities extracted from plans and specifications, checked by the estimator.
Documentation
Technical standards, specifications and manuals can become a base you query in natural language, on your own documents.
Non-conformities

A construction site produces a continuous flow of documents: quotes and measurements, purchase and delivery notes, merchant invoices, progress statements, site reports, tender packs. This is exactly the material a document processing engine can work on.

The quote is the task that can change the fastest.
The quote is the textbook case of the sector: it gets prepared late, it holds up the signature, and then it sits there with no follow-up. A copilot can prepare the outline from the request, your prices and your usual works; you review, adjust, send.
Following up dormant quotes is the second possible gain, and the most neglected: a quote with no reply can be followed up on a set date with a message ready to go. What is missing today is not the will, it is the time to do it.
In both cases, our practice's rule applies: the machine prepares, a human approves, and nothing leaves without them.

Reconciling supplier invoices becomes a dated deadline.
Merchant orders, delivery notes, invoices: reconciling these three documents is the typical document processing circuit, and discrepancies (quantities, prices, duplicates) are frequent there.
The deadline makes it all the more concrete: from 1 September 2026, every company established in France must be able to receive electronic invoices, under the reform led by the French tax administration (DGFiP); the obligation to issue follows in September 2027 for SMEs. Invoices that are natively structured lend themselves to automatic reconciliation.
A construction firm equipped before the deadline turns the constraint into a production gain; a firm that prints invoices out to re-enter them will pay twice.

The uses already exist on sites, often with no framework.
The subject is not theoretical: a French Odoxa survey finds that 12% of employees already use AI at work, and nearly one in two have never been trained for it. In construction as elsewhere, these uses go through personal accounts, sometimes with contract documents or customer data.
So the first move is not software: it is a framework. An AI-usage register, a signed one-page usage policy, company accounts, documented training: the demonstrable AI-literacy measures the EU AI Act has required since February 2025.
